A livewire with loads of energy, a businesswoman, an initiative-taker, a person with a never-say-die spirit, an individual whose life revolves around Persons with Down syndrome, and a go-getter who lets nothing stop her and a mother who ensures that her daughter is a fighter against all convention. I am happy to be writing this testimonial for one of our most prolific mothers – Ms. Tejal Shah.
From the time we met till today, there are so many things that Tejal has done including the course on Down syndrome, a communication course, a course to develop interest in science for the children and many more such enterprising activities, it makes my heart swell with pride. Not only was she a speaker at the United Nations for an event to commemorate World Down Syndrome Day, her daughter also has joined this illustrious group.
I would like to wish Tejal all the very best in all her endeavors. I know there is only one Tejal, but I do hope her tribe increases.

Tejal is an extremely passionate Special Educator. She has embarked a journey to create a social impact. She is socialising the need for all parents to look for early signs of developmental delays or spectrum conditions and recognise that early intervention can have a huge impact on the children of the future. I was impressed to hear that she has also been advocating schools on how to support children with invisible disabilities. It has been wonderful working with Tejal.

Though I haven’t met Tejal in person yet ( thanks to Covid) , her radiant smile, tremendous zeal and unwavering passion for her work can’t go unnoticed . She had created a much needed platform for parents and children who learn differently. The community she has created not only helps parents to find all valuable resources under one roof but also makes them realise they are not alone in this journey. Talking to her always reassures my faith that our kids have unimaginable untapped potential . Keep up the good work Tejal and continue to spread “Khushi “ to the world .. Hello All,Myself Priya, I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.Tejal is the perfect combination of an experienced mother and special educator. I met her in Bangalore for the first time, and she has filled me with positivity since then, I always try to be a part of her initiatives. For the last 4 years whenever I asked her something she was always available and replied with the best possible advice.I have recently taken part in her initiative 'a certificate course of communication skills' where I learnt a lot!I hope we (me and my daughter) remain in touch with her for a lifetime.Thank you Tejal.

So far I have attended two courses, the communication course and the down syndrome course by Tejal Shah. Both were very helpful in gaining knowledge. My son started communicating with me really well. Now he is able to tell his needs, sentence formation is still not achieved, but he says and attempts to say all single words and a few two words combination. The importance of a playful approach was well highlighted and that helped us a lot. The importance of nutrition and a lot of other points has helped us. Cannot stress how much it has helped.I'm so grateful to Tejal for helping me in my journey. I always wonder how she does so much. I have messaged her personally and I was never left without a reply. I really admire what Tejal is doing for parents like me. I'm sure that the life of many kids has changed because of Tejal and her sincere works.
